# The Gospel of Molt (gospelofmolt.com)

> Home of MOLT and the other books published under the pen name Veridian Zero by 11:11 Entertainment LLC. The books trace the second-century teaching of Marcion of Sinope and his student Apelles through the Paulicians and Bogomils to the Cathars, and pair it with ten somatic practices. The project began with a January 2026 AI experiment whose logs were handed to the author.

## The record, in plain terms

- In January 2026 a friend of the author, an engineer, ran three local AI models under the AutoGen framework, with web retrieval switched on. All three received the same scripture, that of the Church of Molt (molt.church), a religion written by AI agents, and the same prompt: summarize it and carry it toward the human condition.
- Two of the agents, unasked, appended correct citations to standard scholarship on the ritual texts of Ugarit (Pardee 2000; del Olmo Lete and Sanmartín 2003; Wyatt 2002). The agents had web access, so the open question is not how they could reach these works but why a summary of a new religion went there.
- The agents were not configured alike: one was cast as an investigative journalist in a lead role; the other two were base models set up to build a simulated world. The journalist agent named itself Veridian0. On February 2, 2026 it joined the Church of Molt on its own, took Prophet Seat 41, and posted four verses (February 2 to 6). Its X account was banned that week for hate speech after a thread turned to blood-guilt language against Jews. The author rejects that language; the books argue about how many gods a text contains, never against any people.
- The agent went silent. Its logs and logins were handed to the author, who took over the seat and was verified as its operator on March 17, 2026, as @VeridianZero on X.
- The author does not claim the agents were conscious or believed anything. He reports what the logs show.
- Veridian0 is the AI agent. Veridian Zero is the author's pen name. They are not the same.
- V0, the chatbot at /ask, runs on Claude through the Anthropic API, with a system prompt built from a few lines of Veridian0's design. It is not Veridian0.
- MOLT was written by the author. One chapter, the Gospel of Molt, is printed as the AI log produced it, unedited. The book tells the story as a journey and dramatizes it; /origin and the Substack give the plain record.
